D is for Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead!

tonight i am sharing a funny incident about my son......

My son's favorite movie is "The Wizard of Oz".  He loves the big fire head of Oz and thinks the flying monkeys are hilarious!  He would watch it 24/7 if we let him.  A few months ago I asked him if he would like to watch a movie, he said yes and that he wanted to watch, what else, the Wizard of Oz.  I said, no, you need to pick out another movie.  he responded, "Mommy, do we have any other movies with flying monkeys?", i said no, he said, "then, we're watching the wizard of oz."  Couldn't argue with that.  tonight is short, but i have a ton of other stuff to do!  I'm off to see the wizard.......

  1. 1939. This is one of my favorite movies as well. I keep a copy on hand because I am always finding people who have never seen it.

Do you know two other movies that were made that same year?

Gone With the Wind and The Grapes of Wrath. Wow, what a year for great movies, right?

Finally, there are numerous errors in the movie. Google it sometime just for fun, then when you watch it again, look for them!

  3. Hello, Fellow Challenger. I'm #424 from Rockin' Chair Reflections. Come visit when you can. You'll have to find that Matthew Broderick one where they teach monkeys to fly jets. Can't recall the exact (Project X, comes to mind). That would, at least, give you something else to watch!

  4. Oh, your son must be very brave because I am 40 years old and those monkeys still terrify me!

  5. Hahaha my brother was like that about Lion King when he was small. He'd cry so hard every time Mufasa died, watch to the end, rewind and start again.

    :-)
