J really loves the Percy Jackson books and we've read the second series too with the Roman demigods. The invites were based off of ones i saw online. (Once again, we had to keep it small. I can't wait to have full blow out parties again!) Simple printout and glue to short pieces of dowel rod. They were a little tricky to get in the envelopes, but we managed.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYK1A4fzIyMdKDF4-7uZg1poDOFpH9XuT-us-47Szgr-u_nnqeeB2qUSAnXeHyfbCsDrAOV4gPFUe5Hdyms-YC3NvDJEoMTjd6TgIqGNy8Ni1jt7CER7kzhMlk_SrNddNBiCYSioeuhjQm/s874/invite.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="874" data-original-width="631" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYK1A4fzIyMdKDF4-7uZg1poDOFpH9XuT-us-47Szgr-u_nnqeeB2qUSAnXeHyfbCsDrAOV4gPFUe5Hdyms-YC3NvDJEoMTjd6TgIqGNy8Ni1jt7CER7kzhMlk_SrNddNBiCYSioeuhjQm/w289-h400/invite.jpg" width="289" /></a></div><br /><p>For decorations, we went simple, with white and I ordered some cardboard Roman Columns that we attached to the front of an easy up tent.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrBtjBVo_KN2-BRgd0FT1gJ2ZWuP-deMUHYOVTNi8NuRhxfoPGfYp0JQIT7AqnunwrJ6_sJDdZaxtdK2n4SwVmZp9xd8P44ELKEijBCV3FasfRSBbC8UZ_J24U2MuCLoT1DIt66AoxACat/s887/20200926_143345.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="887" data-original-width="531" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrBtjBVo_KN2-BRgd0FT1gJ2ZWuP-deMUHYOVTNi8NuRhxfoPGfYp0JQIT7AqnunwrJ6_sJDdZaxtdK2n4SwVmZp9xd8P44ELKEijBCV3FasfRSBbC8UZ_J24U2MuCLoT1DIt66AoxACat/s320/20200926_143345.jpg" /></a></div><p>Activities included..</p><p>Getting claimed by your Godly parent. To begin with, we usually invite the entire class and entire scout groups....however, in light of being spaced out and more cautious, we had to tone it down this year....well, as much as this pinterest-mommy's heart could stand! My daughter reached level 7!! She chose an art party for this year. Here below is what we did....<div><br /></div><div>The invites.....i only let her invite a small handful of people. For the tie dye, i limited the possible designs to just a fan fold or bullseye and we used squirt bottles, 1 at a time, to apply color. For the rocks, i have little paint palettes and each kid got to pick 3 colors. For some reason, I did not get a picture of her decorating her treasure box, but if they wanted to paint them, they used the same 3 colors they already had and then they had the adhesive jewels.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilFRy_hupH11F3a33Mev-dGu1Ykm5MUzYND5Xu25q46Cd3GZHZI3ZuwnIYLREvBNwn7qdBqDkSEQguABjTaxTpurVNOk6vf8r0v_RuILihQ_v7bw1x25vUk94whkkOn1GYEsYrL0qMxnOu/s957/rocks.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="957" data-original-width="598" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilFRy_hupH11F3a33Mev-dGu1Ykm5MUzYND5Xu25q46Cd3GZHZI3ZuwnIYLREvBNwn7qdBqDkSEQguABjTaxTpurVNOk6vf8r0v_RuILihQ_v7bw1x25vUk94whkkOn1GYEsYrL0qMxnOu/w250-h400/rocks.jpg" width="250" /></a><img border="0" data-original-height="1104" data-original-width="828" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYyZIn04ahrHgQ_XLFRuD6Wc5vqCmdgbWNGUbKun6HxWpn9szzFu8i08BG2fTV5_EnaV1aTzdR9fUlX1pzYDcj9u-9IkzQeUqSqQCu3UILvsZ5u_q7zl1Xp_YOcY_aVwboWTCauUJyk-oI/w300-h400/tie+dye.jpg" style="text-align: left;" width="300" /></div><br /><div><br /><div>Once the 3 craft were done, we handed out snacks. rest to design and execute. Last year, he wanted Cheese. Yes, a Cheese Party. Do you know, there are not any Pinterest posts on Kid's cheese parties? (until now, anyway!) The only Cheese party you are going to find are those involving wine, grapes, and cute little knives. So, into the brain-vault we go....Turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.<br />
<br />
Invite: Simple printed card that I created.<br />

<br />
Games/Activities: <br />
1) Cheese Tasting. I bought and cut up 10 different cheeses and created a judging sheet where they had to rank the smell and taste.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmrp3hClRADvzB39ucR8D8LdxpFmwIBryJ0WEDCeOl9e9zyURQsQXPNGWLfdzZw7eF1hSwkhcpR1XmnAXzuLXwBLRIP0AKi44egPRj_gI3il1YBVcEhk_7tPq-g7cIQV69rpH4dEHpelEw/s1600/cheese+tasting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmrp3hClRADvzB39ucR8D8LdxpFmwIBryJ0WEDCeOl9e9zyURQsQXPNGWLfdzZw7eF1hSwkhcpR1XmnAXzuLXwBLRIP0AKi44egPRj_gI3il1YBVcEhk_7tPq-g7cIQV69rpH4dEHpelEw/s640/cheese+tasting.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2) Cheese making. This didn't do very well, since i only half listened/watched the you tube video on how to do it. I didn't use enough milk and well....i tried.<br />
<br />
3) Cheese ball Toss. Each kid got a shower cap, we put a pile of shaving cream on top and then partnered them up. They had to see how many cheese balls they could get to stick to both their caps as a team. The winners got bags of candy to share. <br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12.0pt;">As the quarantine order continues,
we are finding more and more of those little projects that you pin on Pinterest
but never actually intend to do! The Cardboard Dome or "Moon base"
was on ours and since I have an abundance of cardboard (due to my persistent
desire to create a little oasis on my back porch), we decided, 'heck, why
not'. Couldn't take more than a few hours, right? HA HA HA!!!
First, I found the post on Facebook where some family put one together.
They wrote all about some 'instructables' thing that they found to be wrong, so
we thought we'd try theirs. However, they didn't actually write anything
USEFUL other than that the instructables instructions we wrong. Yay. So,
J and I sat down with my trusty friend, Excel, to create our own design.
Guess what? I'm good at geometry when it comes to sewing, not so much in
the 3D world. Go figure. Then, my brilliant son says "why
don't we just model it off of the jungle gym in the
backyard...........yes........mom win.......I’ve taught a child how to think
and not what to think and he figured out a solution without re-inventing the
wheel. Now, let me warn you, he still had his mother involved........who
isn't very good at following instructions........I eyeballed the dimensions of
the jungle gym.......yes, that's right. Head-slap. I assumed they
were 2ft equilateral triangles. Guess what they're not? Yep.
However, we went forth with the plan to make 1ft equilateral triangles.
Armed with our abundance of cardboard and box-cutters (thank you, honey) we went
forth and began cutting....<o:p></o:p></span></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is our model:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgHWqPrboVM53kZDbb3z8l-gY9eoJ93n3W3SKGPbAe7vNMGwOUmec5iuEG2AtkhJkc_G7nNEqSpPtSC8ugg0n_GGMA_EZUaTu9_tWzUuOr6obpVyyFd7zFdbsC5nXfg6vHZAyXIO_aqZ2d/s1600/model.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgHWqPrboVM53kZDbb3z8l-gY9eoJ93n3W3SKGPbAe7vNMGwOUmec5iuEG2AtkhJkc_G7nNEqSpPtSC8ugg0n_GGMA_EZUaTu9_tWzUuOr6obpVyyFd7zFdbsC5nXfg6vHZAyXIO_aqZ2d/s400/model.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We cute 40 1ft equilateral triangles.......</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3OkPXv5J5SRZNjyJfPit8Jgu4iIsWmWCOb0xnQc5yiPs5OKNZP8Y45rL9HpWryLSAtpVZzSfxJtOyyPePwVOrREF6F-wLOo0kRjAa8K9eKkwuGA33EMsjusrSklgpGRSHrRJ2P5HbeN6L/s1600/cardboard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3OkPXv5J5SRZNjyJfPit8Jgu4iIsWmWCOb0xnQc5yiPs5OKNZP8Y45rL9HpWryLSAtpVZzSfxJtOyyPePwVOrREF6F-wLOo0kRjAa8K9eKkwuGA33EMsjusrSklgpGRSHrRJ2P5HbeN6L/s400/cardboard.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
We put together 6 pentagons (the 10 extra triangles were for the connector pieces)...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmm9z22hPcX68i8QmBHjNWzkt1_55uFX4aFsRA6ya4QfqeNBScXRCrWJ2_lzFJY5TJY4NBjRUgYEn-pY49poZ7sXCt3MvEKDVCRAQlMx7MCiFIBd-DE9L8JiRSSeWVb-2FH1O6p4OGpEU3/s1600/taping.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmm9z22hPcX68i8QmBHjNWzkt1_55uFX4aFsRA6ya4QfqeNBScXRCrWJ2_lzFJY5TJY4NBjRUgYEn-pY49poZ7sXCt3MvEKDVCRAQlMx7MCiFIBd-DE9L8JiRSSeWVb-2FH1O6p4OGpEU3/s400/taping.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
And then began the really fun part. Putting the pieces together. Any idea how heavy cardboard can get? it was falling apart all over the place. We ran out of duct tape and resorted to painters tape. Disaster. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6SB5PoRYRpczTECUwUJsV6nZXACIJ_ZA-AMBGQDUta92G1E4JLqjVYR-ckxzetlnfH_bwl95uvqkc1Ls7tCMfQkF24u70JlZ-PJ-b-B025z7NZnIiIvl2eqhEZmipMJ3NFMNrWRUJJB9z/s1600/disaster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6SB5PoRYRpczTECUwUJsV6nZXACIJ_ZA-AMBGQDUta92G1E4JLqjVYR-ckxzetlnfH_bwl95uvqkc1Ls7tCMfQkF24u70JlZ-PJ-b-B025z7NZnIiIvl2eqhEZmipMJ3NFMNrWRUJJB9z/s400/disaster.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My genius hubby suggested we take a break and order some duct tape for pickup at home depot the next day. Where does he get these ideas, huh? so, i ordered the tape.......went and got it this morning and we managed to get it together. duct tape really is a miracle. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
And, in true Jenna-fashion.....we taped the hell out of it. Added some extra panels on the bottom to raise it up and ta-da! </div>
<div>

We had a great time and A LOT of kids! <br />
The invitation my daughter chose was not so cutesy as her brothers:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirqfZ6BWHQqLYOF0lzf6yJlaTb3wcsQFGrwD0QJl7za6-WSKlGDJHtc0beuXRd2WgMvOdXUzYJJXOF43ZHx9U7HqKuIUpfp6THj7JI4pWOFd3rbzrdQvAu57YdfUwmTS2iGLyDK_Un66vC/s1600/42319349_10160980779310094_3494388389912772608_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirqfZ6BWHQqLYOF0lzf6yJlaTb3wcsQFGrwD0QJl7za6-WSKlGDJHtc0beuXRd2WgMvOdXUzYJJXOF43ZHx9U7HqKuIUpfp6THj7JI4pWOFd3rbzrdQvAu57YdfUwmTS2iGLyDK_Un66vC/s400/42319349_10160980779310094_3494388389912772608_n.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Activities:<br />
<br />
Dinosaur hatch. Found these dinosaur eggs on Amazon that hatch in water. So, we hid the eggs around the yard and i had mason jars with water. The first thing the kids did was find an egg and drop it in the water. we put their names on the jar. It took quite a while for the hatching to begin, but by the end of the party, most eggs had started to split.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRbcMBi3J_TeUYX1AZpmGhPezRYDdY4XVEebMfw9l6fVvTXPPZZCLIApZOfd_dzu4WlPHfqyTWqNnQyGLDnRWRKa3l_b3bllE5RH2uBLQewyYqTAzMKyt3X58ilhM8rUMAVWpJYhy4rpDw/s1600/20180922_111200.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="626" data-original-width="835" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRbcMBi3J_TeUYX1AZpmGhPezRYDdY4XVEebMfw9l6fVvTXPPZZCLIApZOfd_dzu4WlPHfqyTWqNnQyGLDnRWRKa3l_b3bllE5RH2uBLQewyYqTAzMKyt3X58ilhM8rUMAVWpJYhy4rpDw/s320/20180922_111200.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Dinosaur Dig. I found dinosaur skeletons on Amazon and buried them in a sand pile. The kids were each given a paint brush to unearth their skeletons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPQ89klQvF1TesoZZdubqD9M4ocwHlhyphenhyphendVfvIzcsST64hBeYC0rTf2MnInIpUuWcMJurMHjAhWPuRxnDMb8l1_f4qKFzunXf4oqL8jXEh20rsY7wmutp0uPyljgdNS9P-Oj0E1REjAEKEY/s1600/20180922_114158.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="577" data-original-width="769" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPQ89klQvF1TesoZZdubqD9M4ocwHlhyphenhyphendVfvIzcsST64hBeYC0rTf2MnInIpUuWcMJurMHjAhWPuRxnDMb8l1_f4qKFzunXf4oqL8jXEh20rsY7wmutp0uPyljgdNS9P-Oj0E1REjAEKEY/s200/20180922_114158.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhol992YqkNAL5dMQqezODbqDZgxtiC2gbU-c9CnLmug3uqecDa_9xkIi3WP3eUh9_8KG-mlMb-3evPuPKfFZcl065nwGVFPkKbFfxi2keeJ7VI48iwAb371y326vfOUr4ooSI5n4Za5IEz/s1600/20180922_114225.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="577" data-original-width="769" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhol992YqkNAL5dMQqezODbqDZgxtiC2gbU-c9CnLmug3uqecDa_9xkIi3WP3eUh9_8KG-mlMb-3evPuPKfFZcl065nwGVFPkKbFfxi2keeJ7VI48iwAb371y326vfOUr4ooSI5n4Za5IEz/s200/20180922_114225.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also found geodes on Amazon and with a couple of hammers, each kids ended up with a bag of crystals.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpw7WA4SsE_nfiQmmFUABj0W5xPZTLdVMvzahEdmO0t9EBz9dM_e-GFeKQK_ypqaXP0_xzGZyeTieslpbAtkmaSPsr1YcnOwJIL9M8UL3pkJK5rd9sohrcrEa2oZOZOxSt3_V8plE65Umi/s1600/20180922_115000.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="577" data-original-width="769" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpw7WA4SsE_nfiQmmFUABj0W5xPZTLdVMvzahEdmO0t9EBz9dM_e-GFeKQK_ypqaXP0_xzGZyeTieslpbAtkmaSPsr1YcnOwJIL9M8UL3pkJK5rd9sohrcrEa2oZOZOxSt3_V8plE65Umi/s320/20180922_115000.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To end, we played dino stomp. I had cut a bunch of dino footprints from different colors and we put together a play list of dinosaur music. had the kids walk around, cake-walk style, and then called colors. if you were on that color, you got a lizard and then got to sit in the middle. once everyone had a lizard, they were all sitting down and ready for cake.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU7qNcMHRNxydFKL5gzAqAzGWufeK0i6vPlFnaXGTcZQ0MGNu8h8Yn-bcRwpy3rP-EXw8JMaYPipMl86LuT_Z-gfmzsa1b8g6KRZsi5KYQW35q-168_9zd0Hls87NOZJ6XmlWNFFRr0mui/s1600/20180922_120119.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="577" data-original-width="769" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU7qNcMHRNxydFKL5gzAqAzGWufeK0i6vPlFnaXGTcZQ0MGNu8h8Yn-bcRwpy3rP-EXw8JMaYPipMl86LuT_Z-gfmzsa1b8g6KRZsi5KYQW35q-168_9zd0Hls87NOZJ6XmlWNFFRr0mui/s320/20180922_120119.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Cake: layered dirt cake. I made regular dirt cake and layered it with sprinkles and then marshmallows. we pressed little plastic dinosaurs into the centers and as they ate, they dug through the layers like little paleontologists to find their dinosaurs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEge6VL_S8IHD6p8EeloXuoaMYbz6YOUbi_WK-OGeJPUB0vzSxnR6ZAVD6YMtyBnxnUDytXaLrIiJTlv6OPnGpdYcCUDkSCzgyIrynvpklf5PMFuK30a9RAoy7YzBFzxp0wSL1Sdf1BXV_e-/s1600/20180922_120635.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="577" data-original-width="769" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEge6VL_S8IHD6p8EeloXuoaMYbz6YOUbi_WK-OGeJPUB0vzSxnR6ZAVD6YMtyBnxnUDytXaLrIiJTlv6OPnGpdYcCUDkSCzgyIrynvpklf5PMFuK30a9RAoy7YzBFzxp0wSL1Sdf1BXV_e-/s320/20180922_120635.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
each got to take home their jar, a skeleton, a lizard, dinosaurs, and a dino tattoo that i just picked up because i was on a role buying dinosaur stuff.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I was anticipating the whirlwind of the holidays surrounding the delivery of a 3rd child; but that one wasn't meant to be.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2013/04/w-is-for-writing.html">2013 - Writing</a> - i was thinking about this today. I think this may be my last year of the blogger challenge, at least for a while. I've found i just don't have the need to write right now. Sometimes, it's therapeutic, but this year has been more of a homework assignment that I've set for myself. <br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2015/04/w-is-for-wondering-about-random-things.html">2015 - Wondering About Random Things</a> - i do still wonder about random things; but now people have neatly put them into clever meme videos and i don't have to wonder if I'm the only one anymore.<br />

<br />
<span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">Dear Kids,</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;"> Hello my babies; you will always be my babies. There are so many things I want in life for you and so many things I really don't want for you and so many things I hope I can pass on to you. Roll your eyes if you must, but at least consider what I have to say:</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">1. Take time to look around. Don't be the one in the car who didn't see the ducks or the helicopter or the flowers. Always be aware of what's around you and take time to notice things without judgment. Just look and see.</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">2. Believe in something; even if that means you believe in non-belief. Don't believe in just anything someone else tells you to believe, either, unless you really feel it, but remember, keep an open mind to other ideas anyway because, surprise, you just might be wrong. </span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">3. Plant stuff. Flowers, vegetables, ideas. It's good for the sole and for the planet.</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">4. It's pretty safe to say that the Golden Rule is universal and will always apply.</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">5. Love who you love. Don't ever be afraid to admit you love someone. And remember, you live in a different time now and you don't have to hide your love. Man, woman, black, white, rainbow, alien....doesn't matter. If you love them, that's that. In any case, your momma is going to throw one heck of a party!</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">6. Bullies exist. These are people afraid of something. They want you to be afraid too so they aren't alone and they feel like the world is more even or that they have something to be powerful over. Feel sorry for them, but don't put up with it. Don't fight, though. Tell someone in charge and tell your Mom and Dad. Momma and Papa Bear will come out and handle it.</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">7. We had you because we wanted you very much. We had more than one of you because we wanted to give you a team. You are each other's playmates and the only other people in the world who understand the craziness that are your parents. You need each other. Love each other.</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">8. Get a credit card and lock it up. </span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">9. Have dessert. Not too much, but do enjoy the lovely flavors this world has to offer.</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">10. You WILL do something beyond high school. This was a promise from my parents to me and I pass it on to you. You DO NOT have a choice to live in my house and do nothing. College, military, trade school. Pick one. You're going. It is my job to make sure you have the best foundation possible. A high school diploma doesn't cut it, so start planning. You can always come home, but that's only a temp solution!</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">and finally..</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">11. Babies. Here's the short story.....if you have sex, you will eventually get or get someone pregnant. If you get pregnant, you better have a way to support that baby, because I've already done my time. Don't have a baby until the thought of mucus, puke, and other bodily fluids that YOU have to clean up doesn't totally disgust you. Wait until you or the mom have the luxury of taking off 6-8 weeks to be with that baby and you know you have a job to go back to and some form of income still coming in. Don't </span><i style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">have</i><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;"> to hide a pregnancy. It's a very exciting time, make it the best it can be!</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">That's it (for now).</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">So, my babies, I love you and will always be in your corner, whether you want me there or not. Live your life the best you can and learn a thing or two along the way!</span><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><br style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;" /><span style="color: #001631; font-family: Neucha;">Love, Mom</span>mamajennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01408114753018441421noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8366972239630654784.post-79031001442213341142018-04-12T23:28:00.003-04:002018-04-12T23:28:32.571-04:00I'll be oh-K<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2012/04/k-is-for-keeping-up-appearances.html">2012 - keeping up appearances</a> - I love that show and i still love to have a get-together<br />

<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2014/04/k-is-for-kids-duh.html">2014 - kids</a> (again) - who will they be? dunno........just trying to figure out who they are right now!<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2015/04/k-is-for-keep-going.html">2015 - Keep going</a> - i still have nightmares about coaching that little league team. i managed to get a batting order done and most kids played most positions at some point and i kept the know-it-all-dads in check, but still......eek.<br />
<br />
So, today I DO have a K for 2018! Kindergarten registration opened for the next school year! guess who's in the system now?? the youngest! my mini-me! she's so excited! i'm excited! Dad, is.....still feeling it. It's been him and her during the day for the last 5 years.....poor guy. Losing his sidekick.<br />
<br />
I also have to throw in here that yesterday was 1 full year since my daughter's last fibril seizure (i think we're in the clear!) and today is 2 years since the wonderful Dr. Na cut me open and saved my life. And.......I'm OFF tomorrow! Volunteer Appreciate Breakfast at the kid's school. I'm looking forward to it! Evie turned out to be a biter as well, but only her brothers. If you have a biter, i PROMISE, it is a short-ish phase. Just keep pushing better choices...and maybe a carrot. If your kid is being bitten......sorry. the other kid is not being taught to bite, i promise, maybe just rub some garlic on your kid?<br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2013/04/j-is-for-jelly-beans.html">2013 - Jelly Beans</a> - i wanted jelly beans when i had Evie. Interesting. that never did happen.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2014/04/j-is-for-rejuvenate.html">2014 - reJuvenated</a> - wow, my baby garden looked some nice......and the fence......the fence was in one piece. funny how i said then that the fence was next......then well, then the HVAC went and then the roof needed help and then preschool tuition.......ack. smh. i'm planning to totally demolish my current boxes and do something new. yep. totally got it planned.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2015/04/j-is-for-jenna-is-going-to-be-sore.html">2015 - Jenna is Going to be Sore</a> - My one and only 5k. a color run. that was fun. I should think about doing that again. ok, here we go........thinking about it...........still thinking.....<br />
<br />
I'm starting to enjoy this looking back at the past years; it's like digging up a time capsule. it's amazing how things change over just a short couple of years........or how fences continue to fall down (metaphor not intended.......well, maybe).<br />

Sigh.<br />

<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2014/04/i-is-for-ice-cream.html">2014 - Ice Cream</a> - Apparently, I was on something. Not sure what was wrong though in April of 2014 that would make me loopy. We had ice cream tonight, actually. We do every Tuesday night. I'm the Cub Master and both my boys are in the pack and for keeping it together while Mom does all the 'stuff' i take them and their sister to Dunkin Donuts on Tuesday night for a treat.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2015/04/i-is-for-icky-icky-pool.html">2015 - Icky Icky Pool</a> - still not much of a pool person, unless it's a private pool at a beach house overlooking the ocean. 125 days and counting!<br />

So, i've GIVEN up trying to keep up this year. The challenge is doing what it should in forcing me to write, but i've got to be doing my regular stuff in order to have something to write about which doesn't always let me sit down every night and write! Ah, well. I was only 2 behind tonight!mamajennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01408114753018441421noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8366972239630654784.post-91810606765034650922018-04-09T22:17:00.001-04:002018-04-09T22:17:18.901-04:00F It<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2012/04/f-is-for-fever.html">2012 - Fever</a> - a 2 year old with a fever and making a bunny cake. good times. i sometimes miss when that was "busy"<br />

<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2013/04/f-is-for-fine.html">2013 - Fine!</a> - i was experimenting with letting my kids go outside and play (gasp!). Funny, how you loosen up! My kids are outside all the time now! <br />

<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2014/04/f-is-for-friends.html">2014 - Friends</a> - I explore the 3 types of friends. A Reason, A Season, A Lifetime. I still keep these in mind when I part with people or when I find myself getting upset that i don't agree with someone completely or even when i start to get closer or have a moment with someone i didn't think i had much in common with. <br />

<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2015/04/f-is-for-faerie-garden.html">2015 - Faerie Garden</a> - My second year of making a faerie garden. I reflected on the demolish-ment of the previous year's houses. This year.......well, this year. i'd love to really make it lovely and perhaps i will try what i suggested and head over to the thrift store and see what kind of birdhouse i can dig up!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://mamajenna42.blogspot.com/2016/04/fairly-successful-eggs.html">2016 - Fairly Successful Eggs</a> - a followup favorite. the naturally dyed eggs with leaves and pantyhose. this was also my last post in the last time i attempted the blogger challenge. That night, i got a sharp pain in my shoulder. I waited until morning to go to the ER and it turned out i had a pericardia effusion, 2 days later, heart surgery. I survived and that's all that matters, but alas, there will be no other reflections on 2016.<br />
<br />
trying to think of something else on top of this to reflect the current life that i call mine.......and well, i guess i need to go ahead and get caught up on G and H.....that should give you some indication. <br />
